Xmas card still not completed.
Enjoying the daily oekaki again.
No writing done but I got a spark this morning for the 'body part' story, and no, I am NOT referring to penises.
I need to get all my prior pressing obligations done soon so I can sit down and be as creative as I like next week when I am off on holiday.

The Xmas card is turning into a nightmare. The more I add to it the more I want to add. Debating on whether or not I need to move the drawing to a channel so I can apply the image later and get the black lines on top of some of the tones.
Got some help from otana on how to spell happy holidays in Japanese. I was close, but I keep forgetting some of the things I need to do to translate English to Japanese. I am so much better at translating from Japanese to English. Of course, that IS my goal.
Instead of ヘピハリデス (hepi haridesu) or ハピハリデス (hapi haridesu) I need to spell it ハッピーホリデイズ (happî horideizu).
While I was close to right I keep forgetting I need to use the English letters and adjust them to Japanese, not try to do it phonetically. *sigh*
Been able to get out every evening to do an oekaki, which is helping calm me to a degree. Still, I need to get to the sketch pads proper and work there. But first, the Xmas card must be completed and sent out.

Been having fun with some more icons, even though LJ only lets me have three at a time.

Have also been able to get a few oekaki done for the first time in two months. Decided to try some of the Saiyuki boys. Gojyo was first, Sanzo, second. Already have a request on the board for Hakkai.
Xmas card is almost ready to scan and work the CG. Still have a few white ink touchups to do first.
Something interesting happened recently - my boss's husband wants to see my artwork. He is an art restorationist (is that the right word?) and from what I understand, is a killer artist except when it comes to the human form. Well, I don't think I am very good at the human form either, personally.
He has already been 'warned' about my subject matter and did not even blink, so I will be sending him links in the near future.

Time to move all the Gravi pics off the regular blog and over here.
Stealing Snow Shoulder Smooches is still one of my all-time favorites. I think I caught Eiri's hair really well, something I usually feel like I don't do well. And Shiyuuichi is always such a chore to draw. Those damned deer-in-the-headlights eyes...
| All these images were done in May 2003. Note the style change from these to the ones I did recently, in November and December?

| All these images were done in April 2003. Not as productive as I was in March, but I was also taking a multimedia class at the time.

I am being encouraged to draw men in lingerie...
If someone had told me a year ago this would happen I would not have believed that person.
You people are sick and twisted. I LOVE YOU!
On another note - the Xmas card is shaping up well.

I just noticed this blog looks like crap in Netscape. I really do hate these new high-powered CSS blog templates. I will need to revamp this into something more more simple and cross-browser friendly during the holidays. Dreamweaver makes it easy to set up the basic layout. I will just need to make sure all the blog coding gets in place correctly, which will be the bitch.

I think my writing muse, Grunt the Ugly Smelly Mess and my drawing muse, Evan the Graceful Gay Swish are both ganging up on me, making me perpetually ill so I have to stay home and lie in bed. Because I go stir-crazy when I am lying around, I doodle, either writing bits and pieces or sketching things.
Latest piece of artwork.
