Aja's original character, Naora (from her ABC series), decided to talk to me when I heard a particular holiday song recently. It inspired a fic. How shocking is that!

Do you know how difficult it is to write in a child’s voice when you don’t have any children to observe? I had to go back and re-read some ABC chapters to get more of a grip on Naora. For a Detailzilla writer like myself, it was especially difficult to keep everything in that voice style, but I did it without Aja's help - Whew!

Aja did help me tweak a few places needing it. THANK YOU!

So here it is: I Saw Daddy...

Well, I should be working on stuff for my class and what am I doing? Writing Gravi fic. Naturally, when I need to working on Powerpoint presentations and building curriculum, the writing muse assaults me with words and words and more words. I think the resin reps have helped, too. Having Eiri home for Shuichi has been wonderful.

Anyway, one sappy sticky sweet story is off for final Gravi betaing. I hope to get it out before the end of the year so I can have one story posted for 2007.

I am holding a group of small related ficlets until my grammar beta is able to get back to a betaing frame of mind. A dying pet who has been a member of the family for many years is definitely more important than my piddly bits of writing.

Some stories started in 2003 are getting worked on again, along with some 2005 and 2006 pieces.

I can't keep this momentum much longer because I REALLY must work on my class presentations and assignments.
