Sent the writer of "Way of the Sword" the little pic I did for it. Hope she likes it. Hope she likes it enough she will let host the fic as well.
Have made the decision to have multi-part fics on the site.
Worked a little on the site today, preparing for the fanfiction section. Still have a few things to work through in my head before actually getting fics set up on pages for posting.
Haven't gotten back to Japanese today but I am just going to take the quiz and not sweat the crappy grade.

I scribbled a little on the fic that will not end Friday at work during lunch, after doing a little Japanese study.
Decided E had to have a little breakdown in the middle of sex and S would comfort him and hold him in various positions, never breaking tacile contact. I am trying to get S behind E and hold him spoon-fashion. This has been talked about earlier in the story-how E has observed he finds S pressed up behind him, groin to bottom, a little exciting, and while he realizes this is a good thing, a breaking down of barriers to let S in emotionally as well as physically, it also bothers him and scares him, to say the least.
S is not a dumb bunny and he listens to what E says. E talking at all, let alone commenting on his emotions and feelings, is an event for celebration in S's mind so he hangs onto every word.
I am trying to work on a believable breakthrough with the breakdown.
I am probably thinking too much. Readers are going to want smut, not psychology. It does not help I have not had a psychology class. The closest class I have taken is the Love and Sex class. It helps, but does not help me get too deep inside heads.

Something I threw together for my Live Journal:
Tuesday, February 24, 2004
I feel the itch to write but I have so many other obligations I must fulfill first. I really need to work the Kanji I missed when I was sick and tonight I hope to crack open the sum-i kit and draw all the kanji I am supposed to know for Yoshihashi-sensei and class on Wednesday. I want to show I am actually practicing getting these characters right, and hopefully I will learn what the characters mean as well, especially since they will be on the quiz Monday.
I also really want to work more on some of my drawings. I have quite a few pending still.
Not enough time... I will not be taking Japanese in the summer since it is not offered. If I can refrain from taking a multimedia class in the summer as well I just might get some stuff done, but the urge is NOW!!!

Happy Birthday, Yuki Eiri, eternally 22! Too bad the rest of us cannot keep our youthful looks, you cranky metrosexual!

The oekaki list has grown to nine different boards.
Some of them have pretty amateurish work, but that should not stop anyone from going out and drawing. A board is a board.

Final Art Thief Update
It was actually a clear case of an innocent and ignorant-of-procedure art thief who wasn't.
Everything has been resolved and when the site reopens, permissions will be in place and it will be a wonderful site to see some of the great yaoi artists.
Who would have guessed the resolution would be so positive?

Actually, I thought this one came out pretty well, in spite of the fact they look a little more cartoony than usual. I think it adds to the cuteness factor. It's the first time I have ever blushed cheeks with oekaki.
Just a little holiday Eiri pic. He is being festive with that earring.
More about the art thief later.

Art Thief Update #5:
Just when we thought everything was going well...
Got an email from a friend and passed it on to gokumum - the artsite is still up and other people are being discovered there.
--forward begins--
------------- Forwarded message follows -------------
Fw: Alithiel's art
Saru agrees with me re Erin's response, but we'd both want to make sure
he's crediting the artists properly before giving him the OK.
*********************
What the fuck is he playing at? The site's still up, and still nothing
is credited!
Just took a closer look - shit, he has one of Pluto's posted. She'll be
absolutely bloody furious...
And there's one here that looks like TN's work - and she explicitly
states on her site, no reproduction without permission.
I'll email Pluto - and you'd better have Goku-mum have another word
with him. The way I'm feeling right now I'd be perfectly happy to
complain to his ISP that he's hosting stolen artwork and get the site
closed down.
Joules
--forward ends--
The guy needs to do something about getting credits posted on his site NOW. He cannot sit around and wait for a few artists to contact him first before he moves on this. He needs to credit Maetel's and anyone else's work he already has permission for IMMEDIATELY to show good faith.
Thanks for being the go-between in this.

Art Thief Update #4:
Just to let everyone know, I passed the email with gokumum's request over to Maetel, who HAS given permission to have her artwork on the site with the stipulation credit is given.
gokumum has been instrumental in insuring this will be a win-win situation for all involved. This is what she posted at another ml:
Subject: Re: [Mount Lemon's Sanctuary] Cirrus
*big big smoochie for B-Onna*
*tears in the eyes*
Thank you so much for your help:
Maetel is just giving permission for him to post her art on his site!!
I think that really is a happy day for everyone!
He wants to install kind of mailboxes for the artists, so people can leave feedback for their art, the artists are not bothered by stupid flamers and can pick up their mail whenever they want there. And of course, the links really should be no problem.
He tries to make it possible for people to upload fics and pics by themselves, just doesn't know yet how to handle it, that people don't upload other people's work for their own (he has learnt his lesson *gg*). Well he has to figure out things, and if anybody has some good idea, just tell him!!
I think, a beautiful yaoi-site has been born......
Thanks for your help!!!

I did not go to class tonight. It's a first.
I am sick.
I will post more on the art thief status later - things are definitely shaping up nicely and a win-win situation will probably be the result.

Art Thief update #3:
By posting the info on the theft on the saiyajin secrets and saiyan slash MLs I found help to rectify this situation. Both Dark Serapha and gokumum contacted the person and posted their results on the MLs.
First, from Dark Serapha:
Okay... I've been talking to him (yes, it's a male!). He says he won't take down the art without the artist complaining, which I find very unreasonable. No arguing made him see reason. He arguments that without his site a lot of people wouldn't have discovered yaoi. He won't see that it's not the idea that is bad but the way he's been doing it, aka
putting up art without contacting the artist first and asking for permission.
I tried to make him take at least down the artwork I knew he wouldn't get permission for (aka Alithiel, B-chan, Maetel) to show good will, but nada.
He's on ICQ, (number = 132558780).. feel free to contact him, he says he speaks english. The email-adress given on his page is inka@noword.de.
He doesn't seem like a malicious person.. just very unreasonable and in a way, idealistically misguided. Maybe he'll see reason when other people will contact him about this.
~~~~~~
Next, from gokumum
Hi people,
OK, I know, anger is running very high on this for the moment, but please, cook it down a bit. Dark Serapha and I are taking care of it.
The general idea of the site is not bad. They want to make yaoi available to more people. They like yaoi, and they don't pretend they draw that stuff they are setting on the page. Just ignorant, they are.
So, I sent Inka a mail, not yelling at him, just offering my help to get the permission of the artists. Maybe he will be more reasonable with handling things now. I hope so. It would be a pity to shoot down right away the page. I thought it would be better to offer help for doing it the right way. We all know many of the concerned artists. I discovered also Savant on the page which is a really insider artist of male yaoi fans, as he only posts on dbzhentaimales.
Just give them a chance.
Later gokumum posted:
Back again to the subject.
Well I had a chat with the guy. He is not so bad, and willing to contact all the artists to get their permission for posting their art on his page.
I promised him to help him getting the email addresses of all the artists concerned, I may find out. So, please, email me on my private email the links and e-mails you have of the concerned people, so he may have the chance to contact them.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So that's the status so far. Many, many heartfelt thanks go to gokumum and Dark Serapha for contacting this fellow about what he has done.
Oh, the third thing hit this afternoon - I have a variation of the fucking stomach virus/flu going around...

Art Thief Update #2:
I have posted at Saiyan Slash, Saiyajin Secrets and SciFi Lust MLs as well.
Yes, I am rabid about art thieves. I utterly hate them. They are the main reason why my artwork is posted in only a few places and sliced to bits to keep the 'save as' down to a minimum.

Art Thief Update:
I have emailed Maetel so she knows it has happened yet again.
I have emailed a friend who knows Littlesaru personally and who also knew Alithiel personally and is a custodian of some of her work. A lot of the work looks like it was stolen from Littlesaru's site, who had permission from the artists to post the images.
I have posted this on a ML where PL Nunn and Ponderosa frequent so they have been informed.
kahlannightwing has emailed B-chan.
Please check the site and see if you recognize any other artists. If you do, please report the site to those artists so they can do something about it.
As soon as I have some more time I will take the site into my translation program so I can figure out where to email the shit and tell him/her in no uncertain terms he/she is an art thief.
Maybe if a bunch of us fill up the mailbox with our rage the person will pull the works, though I doubt it.
And it does not help matters I just found out a very talented friend I worked with at a ren faire, Jimmy Bowman, died unexpectedly this past Sunday. He was only 33 and an incredible musician.
That makes two terrible things today before ten am. What will be the third thing today?

I gave it the name "Shelter" because I kept hearing Bob Dylan's song, "Shelter from the Storm" when I was trying to come up with a title. I wasn't thinking too much about the full song, just the chorus, but when I went out and found the lyrics I realized they actually were appropriate for the couple. I put the lyrics below. Damn, I wish the video computer was up so I could make an anime music video out of this.
I actually started this pic 5/17/03 and it sat in the drawing book (better paper) for a long time. I had originally thought I would not shade the clothes but after a few months I picked it up and shaded the clothes without thinking about it. After I started I went, oops!, I was going to do screentones on these! Oh well, I put screentones on the shirts anyway and the extra depth from the pencil shading works well, I think.
============================
Bob Dylan - Shelter From The Storm
(written by: Bob Dylan)
From the album "Blood On The Tracks"
'Twas in another lifetime, one of toil and blood
When blackness was a virtue and the road was full of mud
I came in from the wilderness, a creature void of form.
"Come in," she said,
"I'll give you shelter from the storm."
And if I pass this way again, you can rest assured
I'll always do my best for her, on that I give my word
In a world of steel-eyed death, and men who are fighting to be warm.
"Come in," she said,
"I'll give you shelter from the storm."
Not a word was spoke between us, there was little risk involved
Everything up to that point had been left unresolved.
Try imagining a place where it's always safe and warm.
"Come in," she said,
"I'll give you shelter from the storm."
I was burned out from exhaustion, buried in the hail,
Poisoned in the bushes an' blown out on the trail,
Hunted like a crocodile, ravaged in the corn.
"Come in," she said,
"I'll give you shelter from the storm."
Suddenly I turned around and she was standin' there
With silver bracelets on her wrists and flowers in her hair.
She walked up to me so gracefully and took my crown of thorns.
"Come in," she said,
"I'll give you shelter from the storm."
Now there's a wall between us, somethin' there's been lost
I took too much for granted, got my signals crossed.
Just to think that it all began on a long-forgotten morn.
"Come in," she said,
"I'll give you shelter from the storm."
Well, the deputy walks on hard nails and the preacher rides a mount
But nothing really matters much, it's doom alone that counts
And the one-eyed undertaker, he blows a futile horn.
"Come in," she said,
"I'll give you shelter from the storm."
I've heard newborn babies wailin' like a mournin' dove
And old men with broken teeth stranded without love.
Do I understand your question, man, is it hopeless and forlorn?
"Come in," she said,
"I'll give you shelter from the storm."
In a little hilltop village, they gambled for my clothes
I bargained for salvation an' they gave me a lethal dose.
I offered up my innocence and got repaid with scorn.
"Come in," she said,
"I'll give you shelter from the storm."
Well, I'm livin' in a foreign country but I'm bound to cross the line
Beauty walks a razor's edge, someday I'll make it mine.
If I could only turn back the clock to when God and her were born.
"Come in," she said,
"I'll give you shelter from the storm."

I cannot find the drawing book with the other completed piece but I have not been looking very hard because I have pretty much finished up the illustration for "Serenade", or, for those of you who can read Japanese, セレナード. Of course, it is yet another snuggle pic. Can't help it, love drawing those snuggle pics.
Saturday I worked on a pic I had begun 11/28/03, an illustration for my story "Serenade". Leaving it for a while allowed me to see the flaws and I fixed them. When rat came home he really liked it. The drapery on the sheet I actually sketched from life, looking at the sheet covering a sleeping rat Friday night. I am so bad at folds, drapery and clothing - one of the many reasons I keep my men naked. Stiff clothes, like Tudor or Cavalier don't have many, if any, folds, so I can draw them just fine.
Also pulled out a sketch I started last week, a more steamy pic. It is sketched from the How to Draw Manga - Couples" book. It's a closeup of a blond on his back with a pink tribble hovering over him, licking his collarbone.
I don't have Shiyuu's hair right yet in the steamy pic, which is typical for me. I always feel lucky when it comes out correctly with minimum work, like in "Again?!" (below). Usually I have to work and rework that boy's hair.
I am being so bad, not memorizing the days of the month in Japanese like sensei asked us to work up. I guess I am attempting to squeeze out all the creativity I can before we get into completely new material and I cannot devote any time to anything the muses bug me about.
