These are the five pics I sent to the sensei:

This is yet another illustration for a scene in the fic that will not end. I love how protective I got Shiyuu's expression. I gave it the name "Shelter" because I kept hearing Bob Dylan's song, "Shelter from the Storm" when I was trying to come up with a title.
Well, Eiri, I think Shiyuu is ready for round five...
Again! is one of my more suggestive pieces. I love how Eiri's expression turned out, slightly amused by his 'demanding' lover. Shiyuu looks happy as well, contented but still ready to crawl back into the arms of the man he adores to distraction.

Illustration for my one-shot fic, Serenade. When I finally get around to posting the fic on my website I will post this at the end of the text. I don't think I captured either one of them that well. Probably colouring the image would help establish exactly what series this is from.

Illustration for Jill's fic, "Things Happen". This one came up better than I could have ever imagined. Moving in really close so the faces were the focus was an interesting exercise. It is a real blending of anime style with more realistic imagery in my opinion. It's one of my personal favorites now, along with Stealing Snow Shoulder Smooches.

Surprise came into being even before I realized Shiyuu's birthday was coming up. This could be considered a birthday pic, or just any pic where Eiri has done something special for his tribble.

For those of you who did not see this -

The Xmas postcard we sent out in 2003.

I have posted the large version with the explanation on how it was done at the website now.

Large version of "Surprise" has been sent to the usual suspects.

Here is the latest, to celebrate Shiyuuichi's birthday, April 16!

Surprise, Shiyuu-chan!

Large pic to the usual suspects next week.

The shirts were shaded with 'virtual' screentones in Photoshop.

You can see another S birthday pic at the oekaki site:

Decided to change the icon here as well.

My latest icons:

Shelter - black and white version - from original Planet artworkShelter - coloured version - from original Planet artworkCome Here, Brat - black and white version - from original Planet artworkCome Here, Brat - coloured version - from original Planet artwork

I have more in progress. Just need to finish them up in the next few weeks. It's a great way to ease the creative urge when still needing to do Japanese.

Shiyuu gave me a tidbit for a fic today, of course, just as I was scrambling to get ready for work. Luckily, one of the small notebooks was right there and I quickly scribbled the idea down.

I am counting the weeks. I so want to work on my stuff and forget about school.

Doctor
Unheimlich
has diagnosed me with

Onna_crap's Lurgy
Cause: bad fish
Symptoms: grunting, arm pain, sudden tufts of hair, face blurring
when photographed
Cure: pass it on to someone else within seven days

Enter your name, for your own diagnosis:

Grunting? I do that when I get a tickle of testosterone from one of the boys in my head.
Arm pain? Honey, I live in a 85-year-old body, everything has pain.
Sudden tufts of hair? Again, I am old. Hair now comes out in places I did not knew COULd grow hair.
Face blurring when photographed? I run from my mother's camera. Sometimes you can catch me on camera, but only if I feel like I look half-way decent.

I couldn't take it anymore last Sunday - I just had to do something creative.

So I HAVE scanned in the latest E&S pic and even added a variety of virtual screentones to the shirts. I keep switching them on and off, trying to decide which to use. Some of them look interesting layered so I may go with that in the end. Still debating a few things about the image right now, like why does it keep calling me to colour it? I don't have time to colour it right now.

Worked up a few more icons using my artwork too. Still haven't completed them yet. Still thinking up witty phrases that will fit in the 100x100px size and not interfere with the artwork.

I do try to do an oekaki a night, just to help my sanity. It takes some time to get them posted at the website, since I accumulate them and post a few at a time, so if you ever want to see the latest and greatest you will need to go to Darkest Lynk's oekaki board periodically.

To celebrate Sakuma Ryuichi's birthday yesterday I finally drew the lad on the oekaki board. It's not the most refined piece but at least next year I will be able to use it for his birthday pic instead of a screencap. I REALLY try to avoid using artwork other than my own for anything graphic now.

Since the board is not too active you will find it on the first page.

One of these days, perhaps during the Summer, I want to get a better handle on Zechs.
