Writing:

Been scribbling in a tiny notebook during lunches the past few weeks. Don't want to haul the laptop because it hurts my body to do it. I need to heal before I start carrying it again.

The damned pirate fic keeps nagging me and it will be a fucking monster. I think I will get it all outlined then ask around for a partner in this crime. One, it will get my ass in gear to finish the fic. Two, another person's input would be welcome, especially since this thing is really turning into something gigantic.

Looked over the scribbles for the fox fic and a few others this past week. I guess I need to find some time every night to write, since it's not happening at work because of the carry-weight issue.

I am seriously considering getting a voice recognition program so I can dictate the scribbles into Otaku.

Drawing

Started the Xmas card at work last week. Don't know if the sketch will be the final design yet.

Other Artwork

The LJ community, Gravitation Icon Art, has a new background and banner. I used the Generator S1 layout because I know how to manipulate it. I even changed the colours of the table on the user page to match the graphics.

I think I have settled on the look for the onna icons community. I may change the background at some other time.

I need to do some work on two brand-new icon communities before announcing them. Both need layouts, backgrounds, etc. and all is contingent on using either S1 or S2.

Other Design Stuff

Got the book on CSS. Now I need to sit down and read the book so I can learn about absolute positioning.

I need to work on my website's next update. This cold is stopping a lot of stuff right now.

creative update

Well, I have been actively ignoring the muses for a while.

I scribbled too much in one of my small back pocket notebooks I carry around with me both yesterday and today. If the story ever sees the light of day, it will be a long one.

Carrying the laptop hurts me right now so I haven't been using it. I know I should be writing but I don't have the inclination.

Oh, the first oekaki since July, I think...

It shocked me I got this out. I have tried a few times over the past couple of months and I have not kept them because they were crap.

Made myself take otaku to the office today. After finishing "Get Backers" at lunch I did about 200 words on the little fic that is not leaving me alone. It's growing, but I hope it does not get too large.

a creative update?

I scribbled a bit on the 'pirate' fic at lunch today. It's mostly some background for the universe. It really is leaning toward a sci-fi, a/u and pirate piece, all mixed together in a big muddleball.

I still think this could be a great piece to pass outlined sections out to others and tell them to go for it.

Oh well, I bet this does not even get to the first round of typing...

I am not sweating it.

My brain tells me to sit down and do some writing on otaku soon. I just don't want to carry otaku to the office. I guess I need to take some time and do some work at home, but this evening I have been working on the website, specifically the latest con photos.

I forgot about an icon contest and I think I had an entry for it. Oops!

I do feel a little creative again - cons always get the ideas flowing and mixing.
